At the Child & Family Research Institute, we foster a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment for our community of more than 185 health researchers and their research group members. Our close partnership with BC Children’s Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre, agencies of the Provincial Health Services Authority, put our investigators on the leading edge of translational research. UBC is one of Canada's top research universities and, together, BC Children's and BC Women's operate the largest clinical service of its kind in Canada.

We also cultivate ongoing research innovations by nurturing new and future independent researchers. More than 200 trainees (masters and doctoral students, post doctoral fellows and research associates) from around the world work with our established investigators. Trainees also benefit from the many resources available through our Research Education Training Centre.
