Mission
Developmental Neurosciences & Child Health brings together a diverse group of researchers who make discoveries that enable innovative interventions to improve the well-being of children, youth and families.

Our diversity promotes synergy among developmental, neurobiological, behavioral, pharmacological, psychosocial and environmental sciences: in short, from neurons to neighbourhoods. Our focus is improved medical and surgical treatments, rehabilitation, prevention and health promotion.

Key Areas of Activity
The Developmental Neurosciences & Child Health research cluster promotes a collaborative, dynamic and interdisciplinary approach to research by interacting with others at CFRI, at the University of British Columbia (UBC), in the external community, and internationally.

Our research involves scholars and scientists whose diverse interests include developmental pediatrics; pediatric neurology, neurosurgery and neuroimaging; child pschiatry; psychology; nursing sciences; developmental neurobiology; pharmacogenomics; statistics, epidemiology and health care policy.
