Research Areas
  • Fetal growth restriction
  • Preterm labour
  • Multi-disciplinarity in medical education

  • Summary

My studies on fetal growth restriction attempt to find the markers that will guide clinical management to reduce the long-term effects of poor fetal growth.

Some other studies are looking at the markers for preterm labour. These markers will help to guide clinicians as they treat women presenting with signs of early delivery.

    Current Projects

One project involves the use of recombinant human activated protein C in the management of women with severe pre-eclampsia and/or severe intra-uterine growth restriction far from term. In the other project, we are investigating the use of IGF binding protein 2 as a marker for preterm labour.
