Data Management
A database platform with Dacima Software Inc., has been designed to meet the needs of a broad range of medical and health research studies, including clinical trials, epidemiological, sociological, psychological, and pharmaco-economic research studies in multiple languages (currently English, French, Spanish and Chinese). A Forms Library meeting CDASH standards is being developed. Other supports include local data storage on servers managed by CFRI IMIT and a Regulatory environment that meets Health Canada and FDA requirements. [CFRI Clinical Trial Software Platform]

Perinatal Services
The research coordinator supports collection of delivery specimens (maternal, infant, products of conception) at BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre. The coordinator also assists with research protocol development, budgeting, patient enrolment, and coordination of specimen ascertainment.

The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Population Data BC offers support in creating applications for health services or population health data, along with remote access to central server for data storage and analysis, including encrypted backups, software, and other services to ensure compliance with data access requirements.

Quality Assurance
CFRI is a member organization of Network of Networks (N2), a national initiative led by research networks and other stakeholders to enhance Canada's research capability and capacity.
Through N2, CFRI researchers and staff can access various online resources developed to improve the quality of clinical research. These include an established national standardized set of high-level CanReg Inc. audited standard operating procedures (SOPs), a set of SOP tools, such as checklists, tracking logs and research ethics board (REB) templates, as well as the Good Clinical Practices training program and information on contract negotiations.
